Retro fabrics we love

One thing we all have in common is a love for reproductions of vintage fabrics, especially from the 30's. But where to find cool fabric outside of our favorite shop in Orem, Utah has proven problematic. I wanted to share an article featured on the CRAFT magazine blog about how to pick fabric online and which sites are best.

I did find a good shop near me (in Orting, WA) that carries a lot of vintage and other beautiful fabrics. Here is there site as well http://www.thewildrosequiltshop.com/.

Hope this is helpful to you. Please share any other local shops you guys have found around Seattle, Portland and Provo.

Ok, I could spend a really long time just looking at all of that good fabric! She has some great websites :)

I just read through the article, it had some really good information! Then I spent an hour looking up some of the store links and I really like the retro shop one, definately a favorite! I talked to Diana and we want to go to the wild rose quilt shop and look around, lets do it in the next couple of weeks...

I just wanted to thank you for suggesting The Wild Rose. My girls and I hit this shop instead of the mall on Black Friday and I found such great fabric I had not seen anywhere else. I'll definitely be frequenting Orting more often!

I enjoyed stumbling across your blog. I enjoy reading blogs of other quilters. A shop in my area that is awesome is Harbor Quilts in Aberdeen, WA (yes, the hometown of Kurt Cobain). The owners are just the sweetest people and always willing to help.
